I'm thinking we have about 6-8 guys coming.

I'll be driving a black, 4 door, Nissan Frontier this year.

Sure would be good to see you and Dylan!

Dylan's married now and working a couple of jobs so his play time has been somewhat curtailed - heh.  I will be unavailable for a few days - will fill you in next week.

Stinks too cause this is the year that everyone bags a deer.   :D

I am planning on coming to join in the fun. Never done a Trad Gang hunt so looking forward  to it. Been doing some serious Google Earth scouting to see what is offered there . Not that far of a drive for me but just never considered hunting there before.
It's really a big area of Pub land though for Ohio.
Will be in a red colored Ford F-250.

Any body know what the small game hunting is like there?
Squirrel, Turkey and Grouse will be in at same time is why I asked.

Hey Charlie-how are things going? I went on your hunt 2 years ago and had a good time! Can't make it this year though, I had rotator cuff surgery, so I can't hunt this year! Maybe next year. Good luck to you guys hunt safe and have a good time!

We have seen a few grouse, plenty of squirrels and quite a few turkeys (if you know where to look).

There will be a sign in the camping area that says Trad Gang. Not a big one, but it will be there.

We usually camp by the pond in the spots closer to the levy.

I have decided to get there late Wednesday. About 11 pm. That way I can hunt the morning on Thursday and then be back at camp around lunch for anyone new that may be showing up.

See you all shortly!!!

Kenny,

I've been doing okay. It sounds like you have it a bit rougher. Get better and we will see you next year!!

I spent a few days in campsite k last weekend. Deer sightings were about average for the area. Still hitting the oaks pretty hard. Lots of buck sign starting to show up. Turkeys were easily located and responded to calling well. Squirrel everywhere, our grouse population has pretty much disappeared around here. I am back to work tomorrow but hopefully can stop in and visit some. Good luck.

Dylan had to work and I ended up travelling to MO for my wife's mom's funeral.  Hated to miss the camp.  Did you guys have a great time?

We sure had fun, but the hunting was tough. I was able to get into deer a few times, but got busted each time and never got close to getting a shot off. That's hunting though!
