String maker booth at Comptons

Who was the fellow that had the string making tent at Comptons? He was at about far 3 o'clock as you walked into the main field area, coming from the BBQ area. He was kind of straight across from Big Jim, but on the outside. I got a string from him for a '57 Kodiak and it's wonderful. I'd like a contact to get a couple others from him, if anyone knows his name and number. I thought I got a card from him, but can't find it.

He is a sponsor here!

Cool! Yeah, he was next to you and near Zepnut, with the nice Bear collection for sale. He made me a really nice B-50 string, but with a thicker serving and it's really nice. It'll look him up.
Thanks guys!

Bob, Jim does make a nice string he makes all of ours. He is also normally at GLLI also, but is having surgury on his foot the first of Augaust so won't be there this year. But he says he will be in his shop building arrows and strings everyday during his recovery 573-543-5357

I bought a couple youth bows from you and I also got arrows from you. But I bought a couple youth quivers from the tent that you're talking about because he said he also made your strings. That's not the person I'm talking about. The guy I'm talking about had the tiny tent on the other side of that tent I believe you're talking about. All he did was make strings and his tent couldn't have been 15'x15'. He was the outside tent on that ring, next to the road entry and the porta john that was there. If looking at the tent you're talking about, the Nocking Point was on the left and the guy I'm talking about was on the right of Jim's tent. He mentioned that it was his first time at Compton's and didn't know what to expect.

For anyone interested, Okla hooked me up with a contact and I just talked to the fellow I was looking for.

He makes a nice string. I'm going to have him do a few more for some other vintage Bears. A pretty, multi-color string that matches the bow/year always looks sweet.
