Headed to Colorado
« on: July 29, 2014, 10:32:00 PM »
Driving out for the first 2 weeks of the season.  Hunting over the counter areas and have 2 I have hunted in the past.  Was thinking about taking a mountain bike and using it on some closed fire roads or trails.  Both areas I have hunted it won't work.  Was hoping someone here could steer me to a good area.  Don't want to steal your spot but maybe you hunt another area now.  Thanks in advance.
Terry

What part of CO are you planning on hunting?  Might be able to help.

Terry what area you headed for? I'm thinking about next year doing Colorado.
Bowhunting is a passion, not an obsession. Its just hard for my wife to tell the difference sometimes.

Best place to hunt for opportunity at elk and terrain that isn't insanely difficult is NW CO Flat Tops.  There are multiple GMUs to choose from. If anyone is tired of carting gear across the country and having to set it up and take it down or having to abandon it until Spring due to unannounced big fall snowstorms, please consider looking us up.

We have two locations. One in Craig, CO and the other in GMU 12 near GMU231 and GMU 24.

Cheers,
Lisa
