Question about back quivers

Ok I do have another question if you can stomach me anymore.

I know to double up the leather on the bottom to keep heads from poking through. Is there anything I need to do to protect both my quiver and my broadheads? Foam pad in bottom, extra layer of leather, etc.

Dragonheart's idea above sounds good-- a carpet scrap cut to fit the bottom.  Or you could do some dense foam in the bottom as well.  I'm going to add a piece of carpet in the bottom of my back quiver.

Carpet or dense foam... Sounds like a good idea to me. I was thinking some dense foam, but I'd have to buy that. I should be able to get some carpet fairly easily and free. And if it'll work that's what I'll do.

I seen a guy about 10yrs ago at denton hill and he made a back quiver out of cowboy boots,,, said he went to a couple pawn shops and bought two old pairs of boots for cheap and sewed the top parts together like a tube and just stuffed the bottom and closed it,, the very top was the actual top of one of the boots.  it looked cool and I never seen another one like it,,, just an idea.  

I guess engineer and harness boots would work too. the jean leg someone mentioned sounds cool, maybe leather jacket arms cut off too.

I bought a nice quiver off of a site I cannot mention here. Look around though or PM me. Buffalo hide snake skin enlays made in TN. The last one went for $76, I bought mine for $115.

I'm still getting used to it and trying to break it in but it's a lot better than what I was using.
