Great Plains Long Curve ??????????
« on: August 02, 2014, 11:53:00 PM »
Had a Long Curve a few years ago when starting down the Trad Path.   Sold it for one reason or another.

I shot that very bow today with more experience under my belt, and, feel foolish for having let it get away from me.

The low wrist grip is so comfortable in my opinion and shooting it accurately was a breeze.   My first several arrows went right where I wanted them (no warm ups necessary)!

What really impressed me was how quiet it shot with no felt or other sort of padding under the string near the tips.   Quiet as a longbow.  Really.

I would like to know if this is the rule or the exception for the Long Curve model that Bill builds.

I would appreciate hearing from any owners of these bows regarding their thoughts and experiences with these bows.

I may just put an order in as a great friend of mine is doing Monday for a Long Curve.   He misses his too.

Thanks for any feedback.  Good bad or ugly.

Best regards, Skychief.

Hey Matt,I have a 58" longcurve with a set of interchangeable longbow limbs its a Rio Bravo. They are great bows.I'm more of a LB shooter so those are the limbs I use the most.Great performance from both and the workmanship is fantastic, you won't go wrong.
Quote from Howard Hill.( Whenever he taught someone to shoot) "Son make up your mind right now if you want to target shoot or hunt as theres a world of differance between the two"

Thanks Steve.   Glad you like your 3 piece.

I am hoping to hear more about the one piece Long Curve, more so than the three piece.

Best regards, Skychief.
