Trad archery in Australia - looking for input
« on: August 03, 2014, 06:51:00 PM »
Hi gang,

There's a very strong possibility I'll be spending 60 days in Melbourne, Australia, for work.  I'll be leaving around the beginning of October, and coming home early December.  I'll miss prime bowhunting time in PA, but still get in some late season hunting I suppose, once I get home.

Does anyone have any experience with shooting (field, 3D) in Australia, or possibly even hunting (something)?  I know Australia is huge, and while I'll have access to a car, I won't have time for anything more than a day trip from Melbourne.  I'm really looking for something to kill time and time my mind off of being away from my wife and daughter for 2 months.

Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated!

I'll dob Ben Maher in. He's a good bloke. But he thinks I'm a girl since I shaved my miserable attempt at a beard off, so be warned!

Also, ask at Ozbow forum.

Good luck!

G'day mate,

I'd be happy to help you out but up wayssss up north in Queensland and your rather pretty much at the bottom of the country and three states away!

Make contact with Ben Mayer on here. He lives in Melbourne, is a nice guy and loves his longbows.

If you are not working to protect hunting, then you are working to destroy it.         (Fred Bear)
