Hi guys, anyone know who makes a ILF recurve riser with recessed limb pockets like a Morrison or ******** Black magic?

Sorry I should have stated wood & or phenolic risers no alloy.
Bezaleel & Zipper don't do recessed limb pockets as far as I know.

This what I meant

LOL, 'bowbldr' (aka Bob Morrison!!) is right Lyonel.  The Sky and Zipper risers do have a recess, so do the Morrison risers.  The depth may vary a little on all of them.

Thanks for pointing that out Nineworlds, I saw the response & didn't look at who posted it. Sky was one I never thought of in a wood riser ( I own one of there metal risers ) Zipper I knew did ILF risers but didn't remember them being recessed but now I have been educated. The Sky is not very pretty but the Zipper might be an option. Whish I could find a pretty Morrison though.

Lyonel, Just how pretty do you want it?  Just remember you can buy Snakewood for the same price as leopard wood.......

Unfortunately Bob I will never have the collection of bows that some people have so the few I will have I would like to be nice to look at as well as nice to shoot. I have a set of flat black hex 6 limbs that I am looking to put on it so I guess a riser that makes up for the plainness of flat black limbs a little bit.

This has been built from 13" to 21" and looks great with black limbs.

http://tradgang.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=31;t=001154

It was after seeing those pictures in the link above that I ordered my own ILF riser from Andy. The limb pockets are recessed but may not be as recessed as other bowyers.

Here is mine: plain jane ziricote with two phenolic strips. I need to invest in a camera but these were taken with a crappy cell phone.

Hi Bob that looks like the one I asked you for a price on for a 17" version a few months ago, you told me you weren't taking orders for risers at that time has that changed?

Hi Paul that riser looks good.
I checked his website & can find no mention of ilf risers at all, I will email them to get more info. I posted instructions from Marks website on making a tooth brush some time ago. The original rests were made by Alan Podlich here & Mark adopted them in the late nineties. The first one I had on one of Marks bows was Fitted by Pod in 1998 & I believe it is still on that bow today.

Please let me know when it does, as I have promised myself that I would own one of your bows one day.

Yes, Andy has not put information about his ILF riser on the website and I would have never known about it unless tj69 had first posted his own experience with Bezaleel. But I can assure he does offer that design in different lengths. I know tj69 has a 17" riser, I have a 15" riser, and Andy had a ready made cocobolo 19" riser. Not sure if he offers a 13" riser but I'm sure he could do it as well.

And yes, I am going to be using the same tutorial that you posted about the elevated toothbrush rest. Just still waiting on my Centaur limbs...    :(
