In Wisconsin there is a 35# minimum on bow weight for skeeters.  Also, you need steel broadheads that are sharp.  I recommend the new altered Grizzly's so you get better penetration.

Thermacell and peramone on clothing (night before and let dry) for those little chigger critters that eat your ankles.

I tried the vitamin B1 and took a bigger dose than 200 mg.  The skeeters still tried to devour me.  I've had nothing but good results with my Thermacell.

I like to stalk to my stands and the bugs are just horrendous right now.  Fire up the Thermacell in the vehicle, attach it to the top of my daypack, and then I hike in to the stand with little if any interference from the bugs.  Would think that would be similar to still-hunting, and actually the slower you go, the better this would work.

I can't believe how many otherwise intelligent people still refuse to part with $25 for the Thermacell.  It would be worth three times that money in my book (because I hunt the early season hard).  I know a brother and a good hunting buddy who were both too proud/tough/macho to buy it, and finally broke down and both admit it was stupid of them not to have purchased it long ago.

Problem is I went in to Wally-World and Menards to get a refill pack and the first is out (and he couldn't understand why so many folks wanted them in Sept.) and the second place stopped carrying it because it was past the season.  Guess I'll have to make a trip into the big city.

A guy saw my THERMACELL the other day and asked me if those things realy work. I told him only when it is on and your are in a area that has mosquitos. T-Cell all the way doing anything outdoors.

I'll sell my kids before my Thermacell.Well probably not but I'd have to think about it. If they can work in the swamps and glades of Florida they'll work anywhere. And you will know when it runs out of fuel. A little flock of 'skeets will come whisper in your ear. Carry the refills

Anyone have any concerns about inhaling the fumes from the Thermacell? There is a warning on the package about not inhaling or using in an enclosed area (such as a blind?) The pads do contain Deet. Hate to be negative about a product that works so well.
