I'm new here. I've drawn a cow elk archery tag for the south at large area in Kentucky. I'm planning on a DIY hunt. My dad will be helping me. I would appreciate any advice you all would be willing to share with me.
About me: I'm 34 and have been hunting whitetails in Kentucky since I was 16 with good success. I grew up shooting traditional with my dad, but stopped until a year ago because I got busy with sports and then school. I've been shooting consistently for the past year or so and am comfortable to 25 yards.
I'll be using my Bob Lee Signature take down (70# @ 28, I draw 29.5). I shoot gold tip traditional 7595 with a total arrow weight of 705 grains. I shoot the bow well.
I'll be scouting this weekend and several more before the season starts on 10/19. I've enjoyed reading here and look forward to contributing.
