Kevin, Crossfit is usually done at a Crossfit gym (called a "box") in a group environment.   Everyone warms up together and then the trainers write a scalable workout on a white board and everyone does the same workout.  All workouts are either for time or weight, so it becomes a competitive event... hence Roger getting beat in push-ups by a girl.    :big laugh:
I've done crossfit for years but mostly on my own.  Crossfit.com posts daily workouts and you can find tons on free online coaching there.   It's pretty addicting but the warnings about injuries are wise.  If you are competitive (which I am) it's easy to push yourself to much to soon to heavy.

Any exercise one does and enjoys, works. I liked circuit training but too many people at local gyms, so I purchased the home gym years ago, and now I do something everyday alternating upper and lower body. Have a spin bike and elliptical for cardio, but the most fun is stand-up paddle boarding six days a week. It's a full body workout and no stress. A three week learning curve, and if you're by a body of water and not paddling you're missing out. Smile.

Hmmm...I do live on a lake. Lots of folks doing that out here. Pretty good core workout I imagine....
