Day Lease - NW Kansas
« on: September 17, 2014, 11:27:00 AM »
Hi, I'd like to get over to Kansas in November to deer hunt for a few days.  I have a Lifetime Hunting License.  I'm prepared to hunt public land but would like to see if there's any day lease ground available.

Thanks,

BT

There's so much WIHA ground on that side of the State that I don't why you would need to lease any.

The new maps should be out for this year. Might make a call to KDWP in Pratt and have them send you one.

Cause it's not overrun with other hunters?

Sorry Jack. I wasn't trying to be a Smarta**. I live all the way on the other side of the state.

I usually try and make a hunt to western Kansas every year. I have had good luck hunting around the resevoirs and on the WIHA. I time my trips so as not to coincide with the Pheasant opener and try and hunt during the weekdays.

I don't seem to see many hunters during the week. If you make it over I hope you have a good hunt.

Let him look on his own Brett if he wants to act like that, maybe he can find help from some other out of state guys or something. What do we know anyway.   :dunno:
