EFA or Thunderhorn?

I am in a search for a new quiver and have narrowed it down to these two.  I want the model with the totem or the Linx.  

Can someone give me some incite to these?  

I feel like the quiver I am leaning towards is the Thunderhorn(as I like the way all the arrows are in a line(plus the ability to customize the amount of arrows).  

The EFA's strapping system looks better to me, but I have never used them.  

I had a bad experience with a Big Jim quiver, so that's why I am wondering about the rubber bands on the thunderhorn.

You've hit the nail on the head. Strap system is better on the EFA, Thunderhorn is better aesthetically to me and I like how the arrows are flat and back behind the limbs.  Thunderhorn lynx for me.

EFA is an awesome little quiver. I've had a few. If you shoot a lot the totem helps from sliding down the limbs. The straps are well made and sturdy.

Brad, how is the strap system on the thunderhorn?  Easy to get TIGHT??

I have a thunderhorn quiver.  It works well. I have not had any trouble with getting the straps tight and them staying put.

Only time I've had an issue with a Thunderhorn was on a bow with the limbs tapered front to back like a Javaman, shrew, Griffin, etc.  I had one that didn't like to hold on that limb profile, others have been great. I've had every quiver and bow style out there I think. Thunderhorn small fry lynx custom ordered to a 5 arrow is my go to. Have them on both my bows.

EFA with totem is a secure quiver during long shooting sessions. Quiet, snug and I like the setback arm as well.

I like Thunderhorn quivers - never had a problem with one coming loose.

The only slight kicker is that the quiver head needs to be larger enough to hold a simmons head.  

Is your small fry capable of that?

I just purchased the Mesa quiver from EFA and I am very pleased.

No Daniel, I do not have a pole between.  I have used this quiver on two Colorado elk hunts, both 6-7 days on backpack hunts. It has worked well.

If you want to see it, look at the post "wood hunting arrows" you can see it mounted on my 60" Blacktail recurve. I have not tried it on a skinny hybrid longbow tho.

It is not a quiver that I would take off when I get to a stand. There is some effort required to put it on the bow, but not terrible. I always pack in with the quiver separated from the bow, which is in a takedown case.  I do like that the gripper and hood can be rotated to better line up with each other, unlike the GN which I believe is fixed.

Which Simmons?  I don't know about treeshark but it holds Tigers fine.  Just got what I think is a Safari And it looks to be good too.  I usually run 4 broadheads and a blunt if that matters...

I like the Thorn small fry. I "cut the one ear off" to fit thicker core bows. Keeps it real snug.   BILL

I really like my Thunderhorn..The other day one of the little knobs that the strap hooks on broke so I called and told the lady that I really pull the strap tight and it may have been my fault that it broke. But she said "no problem" and I had a couple of new ones in the mail in a few days. They seem to be really nice people, I'm totally happy with mine. BeauJ

I am hunting with a Thunderhorn Linx this year, and really like the quiver. Straps tight to the bow limbs and super quiet. Plus it looks darn nice too!

Thunderhorn is my favorite and I've tried just about all of them. I use the small fry & a 5 arrow gripper. I carry 4 broadheads and a blunt. The straps grip well and I don't get any movement or noise. I put my quiver on in August and it stays on til season is over
