No Daniel, I do not have a pole between. I have used this quiver on two Colorado elk hunts, both 6-7 days on backpack hunts. It has worked well.
If you want to see it, look at the post "wood hunting arrows" you can see it mounted on my 60" Blacktail recurve. I have not tried it on a skinny hybrid longbow tho.
It is not a quiver that I would take off when I get to a stand. There is some effort required to put it on the bow, but not terrible. I always pack in with the quiver separated from the bow, which is in a takedown case. I do like that the gripper and hood can be rotated to better line up with each other, unlike the GN which I believe is fixed.
