Old timers, Mi
« on: September 29, 2014, 02:58:00 AM »
I'm looking for someone whose been around awhile in the MI area or  someone who has some older mags I'm guessing 30-50's.  I have the complete longbow shooters digest and so far haven't seen it in it.  The only other mag I can think of would be 'archery'.   Is there any others?  or local older mags (atleast pre 60's I'm guessing though I think its a bit older...)

The magazine had a question and answers section and the one article in question was done by Tracy L Stalker.  He was from the Flint Mi area.   I have a copy of the article in hand, I'm curious what magazine it was from.   The identification is cut off.  I'd like to find a copy of it if possible.

Please Pm/email me if you wouldn't mind.

Sports Afield or Field and Stream

Here's a picture. As a young man he was one of my favorite writers.

Thanks Charlie!  That pic along with the article I have makes me want to learn more about him!

Ray few seem to view it. Figured it would get more hits here.

The article was scanned and sent to me years back now and I can't for the life of me remember who sent it.   Thankfully I have it backed up in multiple places.   Unfortunately wherever it was published was lopped off just enough.   I'll have to reprint it and see what comes out.
