Thanks everyone.  She was very healthy and will make very good table fare.  My daughter is Hosting a "Beer Bracket" this weekend and a little deer roast, deer chilly and der tacos will be on the menu.

For those that are wondering what a beer bracket is I will explain.   It's similar to the NCAA basketball tournament except that instead of competing teams we have competing beers.  16 beers are paired up.  Party goers each drink a shot glass full of each of the two beers and then they vote for the winner.  The names of the beers are secret.  After the first round 8 beers are left,  You keep going till you come down to 2 beers remaining for the championship.

Joe
You got that right about the Big River.  I have bought several bows since going back to trad shooting and the 66" 21st style bow John makes is my go to bow.  Especially when my groups start to widen.  Drawing 29" this 43# bow just seems perfect for whitetails.  I can hold it as long as I need to get the right sight picture.

By the way if you ever want to get rid of the 47#er let me know.

Congrats. Couldn't help but think of the many folks who have had posts here questioning whether a low 40# bow would completely penetrate and be enough for deer! You have proven along with others that yep it will do it. Again congrats.   :archer:
