Ground pounders?????

Went to my new groundblind on this ridge I,m hunting ,watching a good crossing.To my surprise I found a scrape made from the night before which is 8yds smack in front of my blind......Would you still hunt this spot,thinking its awfull close if something shows up.The trail I,m watching is another 6yds out.What would you do????
HH Cheetah 66in. 48lb at 25in.
HH HalfBreed 66in. 57lb. at 27in.
HH Wesley Special  56lb. at 26in..
HH Big 5          64lb. at 28in.
HH Wesley Special 55lb. at 28in.
HH Redman         60lb. at 28in.

I would hunt it. that gives you a 14 yard window. Perfect.

Only hunt when the wind is right, but you knew that.

Like said above, watch the wind, when it's right set up camp!

I do my best to hunt the wind very carefully and I often set myself up 10 yards or less from where I expect the deer.  The only problem is practicing at 20 yards and having to shoot at 6 yards.  I've let many a deer "pass low" as I shot over their back.  If you're careful about what you're doing, hunt from where you are.

As stated use the wind of course and keep a sharp eye out on the direction he is coming from. He may give you a good shot before he is "too close", (an all to familiar term with ground hunting).
