I had a pair of the arctic boots.  I walked a lot in the winter with them.  The bottoms were stiff for hunting for me, and they only lasted a couple of years before cracking and leaking. I have had much better luck ,and foot stability in LaCrosse boots.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

I love mine, I have cold feet and these boots keep them warm.  I live in the artic north though.

I'm on my second pair of the Woody Max model.  The original pair lasted 7 or 8 years.  I love them.  Best rubber boot I've ever had.

I have a pair of Lacrosse for mild weather and a pair of Mucks for when it gets cold.
You won't find a pair of boots that are easier to get on and off then Mucks!

For me, the last 7 years of Lacrosse are not that good. And it is hard to find them in green.

Muck donated funds to PETA and made a big deal out of it....

I don't buy anything from Muck

First I've heard of that.  When did it happen?

*edit*  Did a search, couldn't find anything on it other than the supposed HSUS donation that turned out to be false.

It was not false....they did it in the name of one of their employees, then when the poop hit the fan they did some fancy PR backpeddling but it did happen. HSUS and PETA are one and the same.

I just tried both on and went with Lacrosse this past weekend. No regrets yet and were dramatically more comfortable then the mucks.

I agree HSUS and PETA support each other.  The donation was made to the Humane Society of Rhode Island.  The HSUS obviously chose that name to fool people into thinking they were associated with their local Humane Societies.

Not that I trust a CEO I don't know.  Common sense tells me it makes no financial sense to donate to an organization that is against 99% of their customers.
