I love mine for hunting turkeys in the spring, but need to use it more during deer season.
Absolutely love it though!

fellas, what i do is there are two holes for the prussic side. i do two overhand figure 8 knots(overkill) on the bottom side. undo the knots, rope comes free.
i did rig it with a carabiner, but found it made a lot of noise bumping it. [/QB][/QUOTE]

you know you could put two bigger holes about an inch from the smaller ones with a 3/8" strip removed which will act as a tract that connects both holes then just leave a knot on each end of rope just big enough to fit through the big holes but then you slide the knot through thse 3/8 sections they will lock under the smaller holes,, now its just pop-thru and slide.

when you build more leave out the smaller holes and the track it self will keep the knots from coming through..

I should of mentioned you want the smaller holes closest to the tree so the knots stay locked when sitting.

We just drilled two holes about an inch apart on one side of our Torges seats for the adjustment. Simply snake the rope, ( no knots needed ), thru the two holes and once you get the seat with enough up angle on it simply slide the tag end of the rope back under the, " U " formed by the rope going thru both holes. When you apply your weight on it the," U " will clamp the tag end of the rope for you. Simple, fast, and no knots required. We use the orange and black colored nylon, loosely braided rope from Home Depot and it has enough friction to make this system work fine. A slick tightly braided rope might not work. JMHO.....  :coffee:

These are nifty seats. I made one with some junk I had laying around. Doesn't look pretty but works like a champ.

here is the pic Shakes..... Just tied a knot on the opposite side so the rope does not pull thru and then the side with 2 holes is your infinite adjustment no matter what size the tree is and no knots required. I never was good at tying knots so had to adapt and overcome.....  :biglaugh:
