Thank you for this! My local shop (and they have a lot of traditional equipment) told me the brace height should be ~7, no more, but it doesn't seem right - the extra height compared to the Bear TD has to be due to how far the handle is set forward...

Here are another few shots of the Zodiac. Somebody said that these may be Wing II limb compatible...

The bow was custom made for my father-in-law and has his full name written on the bottom limb. Definitely something to hold on to forever! The only other Zodiac I have seen was sold a while back:

Also - woodchucker, I believe bear did offer a C riser back in the magnesium days, looks like they no longer offer the C riser...

You are correct, my friend!!!!! (I'm old, musta been a brain-fart)

Looked over on the "Trad.Collectors" forum, at the Bear T/D thread. Saw quite a few wood & mag. "C" Risers that guys have in their collections.

All the more reason, to hang on to it!!!!!

As for your Zodiak bow, Could be some minor confusion...

Brace height is usualy messured from the throat of the grip,(where the web of your hand goes) to the string, with a bow square. The actual shelf length, looks to be at least, 2 inches. So,from the inside edge of the shelf to the string could be 7" while from the throat of the grip to string could be 9" or so. Possibly just a misunderstanding...
