i will be watching the world come alive perched in a nice old oak tree tomorrow morning. i feel like a 10 year old kid at Christmas!! i feel so alive and excited right now, this is what its all about about. it makes the old feel young again and the young yearn for the hunting skill of the old only found in years of patience, trial and error. i feel i have the trial and error covered pretty dam good! my hunt will be a success from the secound i get in that stand and blend in with the rest of the children of the forest. i ask the Creator for guidance in a quick kill or clean miss if the chance presents itself. he has all ready blessed me with just being able to partake in suck a spectacular show!! i look forward to taking my seat in lifes great opera! ( borrowed your words there Killy but changed it from soap opera to opera!! )

good luck to you as well. hows the acorns and beech looking your way? not to good here but hoping with the rain and winds a lot came down. funny thing is i found a fresh, large scrape! never saw one this early, only thing i can figure is that the ole boy got a wiff of an old scrape from last year and it made him a little mad.

no acorns or beech nuts, but the black cherries are loaded and are all over the ground, and the deer are feeding heavy on them !

i never travel without my camera! yes lots of cherries here to and the biggest bumper crop of hickory i have ever saw, to bad the deer don't feed on them much.
