Well me and my uncle set out after a cow in the Caney LEA over in Knott County ,Ky this weekend and we didn't see a one! No trace at all except a 1 month or so old track. We were hunting mostly on Consol of Ky, and the other public land around. Some of the locals said they thought the numbers were getting significantly lower in the LEA. We drove, hiked and glassed for hours with no luck on the elk. Saw plenty of roaming horses, and a few deer. But barely a trace of the elk (1 track!). Anybody ever hunted the area before with any luck?
