Originally posted by Diamond Paul: String makers usually want you to twist your string till you get the exact brace height you like on your bow, then take the string off (don't lose any twists doing this) and measure from the outside edge of one loop to the other. You usually don't need to stretch the string, just secure one loop to a nail or something and extend the string out straight, then measure tip to tip. This allows them to build the string to your measurement rather than a catch-all AMO length.
