On Sat. morning I had a nice 10 chasing does. Swirling wind gave me away. Little movement Sat. evening. This morning-Perfect conditions!!! Didn't see a single deer?!?! It's coming though...

In order to cook porkys you have to get every bit of fat off them then bake them on a rack so the drippings fall in a pan. It helps if you lay bacon strips over them when baking. I have ate many porkys growing up in northern mi. They are actually pretty tasty when done like this.

Ive been out 6 times 9 if I count Moose River and a rain out and have seen deer every time but 1. Not piles of them but anywhere from 1 to 3. Seems like status quo for the most part. My friend is in Ky on the Ohio border and is seeing a lot of deer activity including some rutting action.
