Made a primitive arrow
« on: September 29, 2007, 08:59:00 AM »
Cedar shaft, whitetail antler tip self nock, flint head, wild turkey feathers tied on with silk, nock and head tied on with sinew. I made this arrow for a friend to give a show and tell at his church for the kids. He requested the cresting.

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Very nice work, look's ready to go. BTW there have been arrows found in dry caves that had remains of paint on the wooden shafts. Thanks for the look.
