warm glove for bow hand?
« on: November 02, 2014, 08:13:00 PM »
I am in need of a warm, non-bulky glove for my bow hand. I use hand warmers in my pockets  with my bow on a hanger, but once I see or even think I hear a deer my bow is in my hand. I use a light weight camo glove with the little rubber grippers and it works well most of the time, but last winter was a lot colder than normal and this winter may be the same. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Mike

I use those green wool gloves that you find at an Army surplus. They are cheap enough give them a try.

I wear my shooting glove inside a wool glove that has no finger tips. Keeps the hand warm while waiting for the shot in very cold weather.

Hot Heads polar glomitt. No velcro mittin top tucks into pocket and is extremely warm.

I take a nice pair of fleece gloves and cut off the fingers totally so there aren't separate fingers. I use fleece because they are fine for warmth but don't unravel. You can throw a stitch or super glue at the seams if the stitching starts to go farther.

I put a wool glove liner in a Polarfleece glomitt for real cold.

For mostly cold I use a wool glomitt.

For merely cold I use wool fingerless gloves.

For a little cold I use a wool tube with a thumb-hole my wife knit for me.

I use a muff with a thin cotton glove when chasing rabbits when it is butt cold
