Chad,I own two of Ric's bows and having been trying to find him for the past few years. The last I heard he was in Columbia Falls, Montana, but no address or e-mail source has been available. From what others have reported Ric is out of the business of bow making. Maybe someone on here who knows him can request that he come to this forum and let us know what he is doing and if we can get him to make repairs to our bows. If he is completely out of the business it would be helpful to know.

just sent Ric the link to this thread. He might not mind, but I don't want to take the liberty of giving out his email address. I'm sure he will contact you as soon as he can.

I have two of Rics bow (Thermals) they are fantastic recurves.  My one thermal accoutned for most of my big game kills when I lived in Montana.  Sure would liek for Ric to start making bows again.  I thought I had heard at one time he had some health issues?  I hope that is not the case - Ric is a fine gentleman and one heck of a bowyer.
Everything has a price - the more we accept, the more the cost

Caribow Tuktu ET 53# @ 27 Inches
Thunderhorn takedown longbow 55# @ 27
Lots of James Berry Bows

deerfly, thanks for contacting Ric and asking him to come to the forum and inform us about his current status. I desperately need some new limbs and have needed them for some time. The riser on my Thermal recurve fits my hand so well and I haven't found a comparable recurve to date to match it for fit and comfort. I have asked other bowyers about making limbs for the bow but so far they have all declined. I seriously hope all is well with him and that any health issues be resolved in his favor.

If it's in your way, move it.

buckracks7, I appreciate the offer but at 71 years of age and serious cervical spine surgery with the implant of a cervical plate to stabilize the spinal cord compression shooting bows of that draw weight is way beyond what I can handle. I've gone from 46#@26" to 41#@25". That is one of the reasons I was hoping Ric could make me some new limbs.
