Bow holder

What do you guys use to hold your bow while in treestand. I am now hunting where there aren't two trees together with lots of room for hanging. I want to get something for my climber too. Thanks guys

I use the folding arm extending screw in hangers.

a number of manufactures make them, and you can find them at any of the box stores.

They are easy to screw in and I also slide my pack loop through it for hanging as well. Kills two birds with one stone.

This is what I am referring to. My explanation may have been a bit confusing.

I use a 2" long cup screw from the hardware store. I buy them by the pack and keep them in a pouch on my belt. Dirt cheap and works. If I get exited and leave it up in the tree I'm not out anything.

Yep.  Always works and don't need to tote anything else along.

If I'm using a recurve, I use my bow rope. Tie around the tree so that is snug leaving a tag end a foot long. I put a knot about 4 inches down and simply pull the rope to the knot between the bow string and tip. To shoot, hold onto the tag end and lift up the bow.

Every place that I know sells rubber coated, sharp pointed straight screw ins about 3" long and have a turned up edge.  They cost less than $2 and work perfectly.  If I carry them I tend to push an electrical wire cap or just a small wall molly over the sharp tip

With the rut on, you better keep it handy...and on your lap or standing at the ready.

Its called the universal tree stand holder best one I ever used and believe me I tried a few. I used to use the ones you screwed in tree but some trees were a pain in a-- to get started. And this new holder the bow is within inches of me at all times. The website has a couple really nice products I like his hoist ropes too and the treestand stablizer straps are a must if your using a climber they make your stand rock solid once you get setup at hunting height.

I like the little rubber-coated ones. They are in every tree I have stands in. I also use the folding ones with longer reach. You have to be careful with those though  because they can actually interfere with your shot.

I just bought but haven't tried it yet a small plastic hook with folding screw. You fold it out and the hook part is heavy duty so you can "jam" it in to the tree to better start the threads. I will use it primarily for a starter for the cheaper hooks. This one cost $12.99 at Cabelas.

Sometimes the tree provides a natural hook with a branch stub.

Brilliant!  I think I am going to try this with my tree saddle setup.... could easliy attach a small cord to my tree strap.  I might put a loop on the small cord and then pass it through the string loop over the tip and there ya go.  Always looking for a way to save weight and I think you just saved me 1/2 pound - thanks!

Small little rubber coated screw in hooks. They are like 99 pennies at hardware store...this rope idea has me very interested tho!
I'd rather be judged by 12 then carried by 6
