Chest Packs?
« on: November 04, 2014, 03:04:00 PM »
Does anyone here use one? Ive seen them on another site quite frequently but never here that I can recall. I think they'd make grabbing calls a breeze with the reduction of movement. I know Bison Gear made one at one time but I think they've discontinued them. My next two options look like Kifaru or Hill People Gear. Anyone?

Love my hill people gear kit bag. Haven't used it a ton recently but very handy to have around. Be happy to send it up and let you try it out.

Ribz. I am spotting for my son and the Ribz is packed: water, power bars, camera, extra tab and glove, regular gloves and sock hat, Gps,em kit, knives,  and candy bars, all tucked away

It is easy to get in and out of the truck, all necesary gear is on me.  Backpack has extra clothes, game bags. Love it and I bet the thing would be great in a tree stand. Look them up

I have the hill people gear chest bag. The thinner of the options. Works great backpacking but haven't used it to hunt with.

Like that Hill People kit bag, but I wonder if you can draw a bow with one on?

Yes, you can draw a bow without string interference.
I wondered the same thing but took the plunge on one. I really like it (HPG Kit Bag).

Izzy,
I use the Fishpond chest packs for fly fishing, but I don't know why they wouldn't work for what you are talking about.

I just received my Bison Gear chest pack and its awesome. I hope to get out for rabbits soon to test really it but have shot my bows out back  with it on already and its quiet and does not interfere at all with my shooting.
