I purchased a new set of limbs for my 3PC Toelke Lynx in 2014. I shot them very little and ended up selling the riser and another set of limbs. Now I have the remaining newly purchased limbs. It's difficult just to sell a set of limbs , so I was wondering if Dan Toelke would entertain a trade back of the limbs for money off a new bow.

Is this something bowyer do or would it be inappropriate for me to even broach the subject with Dan?

ask him.  He will say either yes or no. .  He may also have someone interested in another set of limbs (just like yours) but not quite wanting to absorb the cost of brand new.

Ya never know till you ask. Good luck

Once I bought a used Lynx and didn't like the riser it came with. I sent Dan another Lynx riser I had that I liked for him to match. When he found out why, he offered me something for the riser I didn't like. Don't expect much, but it's going to be better than holding on to limbs you don't need.  I assume a bowyer would only offer to do this if he were making something new for you, so he would still be making a profit. He's more or less giving you a discount on whatever he's making for you, which he might make up someday if he sells the limbs you send back.

Back when Jim Gainey built Black Creek Bows he would take used bows along with cash as a method of payment on a new one. Sure do hate he gave it up. Great businessman and bowyer.

I would at least offer them up in the classifieds here on TG. You never know who might be looking for just what you have.
