The long, swing-arm type scew in holder described above by several others is what I have found the best for a non-stand mounted holder. The cheap little rubber coated screw in hooks work, but you will find rather quickly that all kinds of contortions are needed to pivot around and get to that bow when it's hung so close to the tree, and you will find this out at the worst possible moment, as in when a buck appears at close range out of nowhere. The little third hand holders work great mounted on the stand, although one needs to experiment to find the best possible placement for them before getting up in the tree.
