CONGRATULATIONS, To all of you Lucky Gentlemen!!!!!     :notworthy:

For 20+ years, My exwife was a TOTAL PITA, when it came to me going hunting,or me going ANYWARE else... After 25 years, she decided she was outa here!!!!! THANK GOD!!!!! Now, it's just me & my little guy Tyler. We hunt & fish,EVERY chance we get!!!

This past summer, My Baby Sister died of Cancer. At her memorial, My other sister's husband grabbed Tyler and told him,"Make sure your Dad brings you up for the 1st day of Deer Season"(rifle) Tyler wanted to go,and I promised him we would. I called my sister a few weeks ago,and made the plans.

Back in the 1970's Tyler's Uncle Butch & his 2 brothers & I became friends. We hunted & fished together constantly!!! I told Tyler, "1 of us couldn't fart, without the other 3 smelling it" We were inseperatably. In 1981, My best friend Butch, married my sister Nancy. We were now all officialy "Family"!!! I married my exwife in 1987 and in no time at all, she was constantly pitchin a fit over me going anyware hunting or fishing..... Trust me when I say, Time passes by,in the blinck of an eye. Without even realizing it, over 30 years had passed!!!

Tyler's 3 Uncles, had purchased half of South Mountain in Deleware Co. NY many years ago from thier Grandfather. They built a small cabin up on the mountain, that is the family "Deer Camp". One night, a couple weeks ago, I got a call from the youngest brother Timmy... "Are you REALLY coming up to Deer Camp?????" I assured him we were & that we'd see him friday morning,to help get the cabin ready. We talked for an hour, realizing it has been over 30 years, since we all hunted together!!!!!

We got up to "Camp" & Tyler was introduced to Uncles & Cousins that he has "met" but never really got to know..... He was a Hit,right from the giddyup!!! He was helping out around camp & enjoying every minute! At & After dinner, The stories started telling of 4 young boys, who were the best of friends... Tyler's Uncles & paticulary his Cousin Tyler, took him under thier wing & had him all over the mountain. Gutting & Dragging his Uncle Butch's & Cousin Tyler's deer(a Doe & 6point) Then on the 2nd day, they took him on a 3 mile blood trail of another Buck that was hit.

After Opening weekend, Tyler thanked them for having him up & asked if he could come back next year. Thier answer.....

"Why wouldn't you??? You're FAMILY!!!!!"
I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

There is a fine line between Hunting, & Sitting there looking Stupid...

May The Great Spirit Guide Your Arrows..... Happy Hunting!!!
