Arrows for a 5 year old

So I made my nephew a little maple bow, and doeskin side quiver… and he's shooting arrows the arrows my daughter had with her Saxon bow when she was a little older; they seem way stiff for his bow.
Any suggestions for some very lightest spined arrows, so they may shoot close to where he's looking' ?
Thanks for looking.

My grandkids used lancaster wood. They are ok but short lived.
Victory acers fly great and are real carbon arrows and tough!

I got some 1/4 dowel at ace or home depot, went through the batch and picked out the straightist and stiffist I could find. I think they were 36'' so I got two shafts, I got 1/4''points & nocks from 3 rivers, used the end of a full length feather that was left over. You're not out much, and when they outgrow them you can get the 5/16 dowel, just make sure there is no bad rifts in the shafts.

Carbon Express makes the Predator all the way down to an .800 spine and Big Jim carries them.

He also carries some 5/16" wood for kids.

Some good options out there, thanks to all for your help. I'll take a look at some dowels first.

I picked up some Easton Jazz 1214s which really fly nicely out of her little bow. She wanted pink and purple and, conveniently, the shafts are purple so I put pink hen feathers and a purple cock feather on for her. I cut them to the maximum draw length of the bow, so when she starts drawing them nearly full length, I'll know its time to get her a new bow.

Ditto on the 1/4" dowels. You can pick through and eliminate the crooked and flimsy ones right there in the store. My grand-kids use these from their 20# Bear Cub bow and they fly well.
