How does having a bow that is tillered for three fingers under affect a split finger shooter? Is it noticable? Would it make you reconsider purchasing a second hand bow if you shoot split and the bow is tillered for three under?

I had my first widow tilered for 3 under, then I switched to shooting it split for 14 years. No issues

I find it hard to believe anyone shoots a hunting bow well enough to tell any difference. Much adoo about nothing imo.

I've owned two recurves tillered even, and shot them split. They were so quiet it was sick!      :archer2:

I think the biggest change would be going from Split to three finger under on a bowl tailored for split finger.

Primarily discomfort to the ring finger.

Threeunder/zero tiller:  will shoot either way just fine.  Tillered split:  shot threeunder will likely be noisier and require some extra fiddling with nock point.  Threeunder/zero tiller gives you potential to switch back and forth.  Don't overthink it.  I'm a dedicated split finger shooter so I can shoot either type just dandy.

I recommend even for most applications.  The bow will be quiet shooting split of 3U.  If tillered positive it will be noisy shooting 3U.

I tiller all my bows dead even unless the bow seems to want something else. I want that string to have no buzz when it is plucked. Then I test shoot the bow to determine accuracy and deadness of hand. On the average though dead even is what she gets.

God bless, Steve

I shoot three under and have shot bows tilered for split without any problems, last two bows I ordered were tilered for 3 under and didn't really notice any difference.  Maybe just a little in nock height.
Too many bows to list, and so many more I want to try!  Keep the wind in your face, and your broadheads sharp.
