My new method to fix that, aim at the center of the sapling, I`m pretty sure I won't hit it. Probably hit the buck in the right spot, kind of like playing  reverse psychology on fate.

I learned this year that elk know this trick, too.

I knew many of you would find the humor in that photo.     I believe next time I'll deny trying to shoot a deer.I'll claim I was trying to split wood to take the chill off of those cold mornings.

But then won't you miss the tree and accidentally hit a deer?  :-)

That armor comes in a variety of species, Maple, Oak, Hickory, I believe most of us have sampled a bit.

:D  I did not expect anything less.   :D  In fact I would have been greatly disappointed If I did not get at least a little abuse.

Bill,

I've seen you shoot and it sure looked like you could hit what you were looking at.  Didn't realize you were cross-eyed......... Buhahahaha.  At least it was a clean 'hit'.

Thanks for making it real.

Don't laugh, Guys....that wood will probably show up in someone's bow!

Grizzly kilt riser...might fetch a premium price...but only if his pretty bride kilt it, not his mugly self!

(that enough abuse, Wild Bill?)

Thoroughly enjoy reading adventures that did not not turn out as planned for even the most seasoned hunters. These end results are most common and finding joy in them provides so much more.

Thank you for sharing!
