Of the 5 I've owned, I always like the era before the CNC stuff. I most preferred the MAs over the shorter bows and still believe there is a reason the MAs where the standard for so many years.

May I suggest the classic Zipper recurve. The original limb design is wicked stable, forgiven, and excellent string follow. It's not the quickest but they are true tack drivers.

I have owned the PSA,MA,PCH,AO,PTF,PA.
I think if you liked the longbow most in the past I would lean toward the PCH in 60" or 58".
The PCH has plenty of mass weight in spite of the short riser and shoots with little to no handshock. The 3 PC is nice for limb interchangibility

For looks and aesthetics you may want to consider the one piece PA or PTF.I liked the low grip and would probably recommend that for a guy who has mostly shot longbows.I have not tried the KB.It would be the lightest of all the widows except their 50s style recurve.

I shot 8-10 strand D-10 strings on my widows.I  preffered them over the stock strings personally.

They are built like tanks and are about as heavy.  If you like mass in a bow, and I do, then you will like that about them.  I have tried twice to like them and could not do it either time; they just didn't suit me, so I encourage you to shoot some before you lay down your money for one, as they are pretty high for even the most basic model.  They tend to hold their value well compared to other bows for whatever reason, and they are fairly good performers, not at the very top of chart but very, very competitive with most everything out there.  There is much to like about them if they suit you and your shooting style, but the fact that tons of people swear by them doesn't mean that you will as well.  Try before you buy.  They are not the quietest recurves out there, but quiet enough, or can be gotten quiet enough.

What I like about my Black Widow, Ironwood, 60" PMA IV is that it's a fast shooting bow and is also a quiet bow...I definately would "Test Drive" a Black Widow so you can experience how nice they are to shoot.

I just spent some time at the Black Widow shop in Nixa yesterday.  I have had my PMA since 2006 and plan to keep it all my life -- and I'm 43 now.  I spent some time shooting a 60" 52@28" PSR, which was slippery smooth out to my 31" draw, and shot like a dream.  I have shot a number of bows that I really liked... Cari-bow, Java Man, Stalker, Bob Lee, and Toelke, to name a few.  The thing that keeps me looking to BW in this competitive bow market is the over-the-top, phenomenal service that they provide.  They are top notch, all the way, in my experience.
Life is a whole lot easier when you just plow around the stump.

Widows are about as good as they get. I myself really like the PMA model.
