I mounted up some of the new 3 blades with Al adapters for my trad lites. My shafts have the Al collars on them and when screwing the heads on they only get about half the threads in before the head bottoms out on the collar so Iknow the adapter isn't bottoming out solidly on the shaft.
I bought the shafts used and it looks like whoever mounted the collars just mounted them over top of the insert instead of between the insert and shaft. They must be epoxied on as I destroyed one shaft trying to remove them here awhile back.
Does anyone think this will be a weak point? I'm going to just run them like that for the rest of this season for now. Anyone else run into this?
I also pulled off my Velcro rest and put on one of Trap's feather rest and was amazed at the arrow flight. I don't have the cleanest release in the world but this rest is very very forgiving and I love the clean arrow flight I'm getting from it. I shot the new instincts quite a bit last night from about 5-25yds and they shot great. They also sharpened back up very easily. Hopefully I can run one through a buck tonight!
