Last day on the mountain
« on: November 30, 2014, 08:36:00 AM »
Yesterday was the last day of archery on the mountain for this year. It was a beautiful morning starting with 12 degrees and a great sunrise.

There was a nice amount of soft, quiet snow on the ground. There was fresh sign, and I was hopeful.

I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

Unfortunately, there wasn't much moving around us. We sat until close to dark. On the long hike back, we enjoyed some stump shooting.

It was a great way to end the season.
I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

Izzy, yes I can hunt squirrel etc. gonna go do some rabbit too. The mountain is my favorite for deer though. I can still hunt deer below the mountain because it is a different zone. But there is something special about hunting the big bucks up top. I don't like going up there with the orange army around.
