Last day on the mountain
«

Yesterday was the last day of archery on the mountain for this year. It was a beautiful morning starting with 12 degrees and a great sunrise.
There was a nice amount of soft, quiet snow on the ground. There was fresh sign, and I was hopeful.

Unfortunately, there wasn't much moving around us. We sat until close to dark. On the long hike back, we enjoyed some stump shooting.
It was a great way to end the season.

Snow sure is beautiful. I just wish it wasn't so cold.

You've still got squirrels don't you? I'm getting ready for them myself. I may do 2 or 3 more doe hunts then its little critters til just about trout season.

Izzy, yes I can hunt squirrel etc. gonna go do some rabbit too. The mountain is my favorite for deer though. I can still hunt deer below the mountain because it is a different zone. But there is something special about hunting the big bucks up top. I don't like going up there with the orange army around.
