Great Northern limb bolt question
« on: November 30, 2014, 06:45:00 PM »
I have a GN quick detach limb bolt quiver to put on my take down bow. The limb bolt is maybe 5/16" and the hole in the base part of the quiver is larger probelly 3/8" so the base can slide around. Is there a bushing I'm missing or is this normal ?

It is normal. That bigger hole is to accomodate the limb bolt bezel/bushing that Bob Lee bows use. Just center the quiver mount over the hole in the limb, insert the bolt with the bezel that came on your bow, and tighten it down.

Yeah, you would think they would make a mount with the hole the right size for a regular limb bolt, and the gazillion bows that do not have big bushings like a Bob Lee? I have 3 of those quivers, and all the mounts are the same way. They fit a Bob Lee bow perfrctly though!

If your quiver is new, the mounts will have double sided tape on them. That will hold them in place prety well, but it also oozes out from the side over time and looks tacky to me. I just take the tape off and throw it away. I hold the mount where I want it and tighten the bolt/bezel down. The mount does not move once the bolt is tight.

Bisch has it right! But it's my all time favorite quiver! Why lots of answers IMHO. It mounts solid, mounts where there is NO movement in the limbs as per the opposite in fadeouts. Super quiet. Lightweight. And it keeps the arrows in a group rather than fanned out like well for lack of better words a fan! Absolutely a great quiver!
Most people get rich by making more money than they have needs, me, I just reduced my needs!
