According to what I read, if the folks cancelled their lease, the politicos indicating pushing to have the facility used more "year round"...
That perhaps, Kevsuperg, would suggest those ETAR folks are not going to be a part of the new plan?? Only ONE reference in the reviewed article mentioned including the "concessionaires" in the discussions...
Bottom line, I agree that it's futile to get excited. Whatever will be, will be and a 4 day trad event will not impact the decision much.
I recall raising cane with elected officials about the TAX thing where the bureaucrats came in years back and forced vendors who were Inc or LLC to file quarterly tax reports to PA for doing biz for 4 days/yr... nobody cared that it could impact the area and brought in huge $$ to the local stilted economy... I supported collecting the PA sales tax and sending that in, but corporate tax???
Perhaps the longer ski season has a bigger fiscal impact and larger, move vocal support base so that will "move mountains" as it were.
Everyone says that Sawmill was the "shooters choice" and the ETAR was the dealer's choice.
HOPE whatever happens it doesn't change the complexion terribly of the Sawmill shoot, which was highly touted...
Tough biz to be renting a facility with no ROI for improvements to someone else's property...
I hope all can rebound and land on their feet. Big income for the local area, but it was other's livelyhood!
