I shoot a 14 strand D97 on both my Berry's.  Actually I have ended up with this choice on all five Berry's I've owned.  I have experimented with BCY X (18 strand padded to 24) as well as 12 strand B55.  For me, the D97 is nice and quiet without silencers, and doesn't require padding in the loops at this strand count.  It only creeps a little and is stable in hot weather.  YMMV.

I haven't tried it on a Berry, but my favorite material all-around to date is BCY-X.  I like 18-20 strands with the loops padded to 24.  Very quiet, very stable, very durable, doesn't require anything special to get a good nock fit with any nock.

I twisted up a 8 strand padded loop Ultra Cam on my Taipan.I will probably twist up a BCY-X for it in the future.BCY-X is an excellent string material and have made it up for a couple of my bows.

I had Chad (LBR) make me some string from BCX - love it.
