I thought my Sassy Lady had pretty Bocote , but that came out scrumptious!! I love the way he flipped the footing to contrast the grain a bit...nicely done, Kirk!

And the coco is like none I've seen before...my, my...

Trad archery won't stay "underground" long if the boys in Finland get a load of that compared to a sterile piece of die cast metal!

Congratulations... And yes, In deed, that is some awesome country you play in...

That country and your new bow will compliment one another's beauty (land and bow, not yours)          :biglaugh:

On the serious side, the looks are incredible, but wait till you see the performance.  I've shot some of his early SS and it's like they have this point before you hit full draw where it FEELS like it "rolls over" and lightens... SWEET!

All the energy seems to go into the arrow. I had to bump my spine up from 400 in slightly higher poundage bows by others, to 340 with slightly lighter poundage on my Sas!

That's exactly what I'm looking forward, never tried bow like that before! Kirk made this grip for my shooting style, I hope he nailed it. My current bow has nice grip but it's not right one for me

I have no idea why it does feel that way, Henri, but it was "there" to notice.

As for grips, I fought bow grips for 22 yrs, trying various and having customs made...

Then Kirk got a try and my, oh, my.... like hand in glove.

During my "sharing" period, there were many who chimed in that he had "custom" designed a grip for them as well and they too felt it was like it was molded to their hand!  Hoping and believing, you will find the same!

Kirk had brought a few of his early SS to the big Baltimore, MD shoot for folks to try out.  I shot bows in my weight class and ones much higher than I normally can handle...and even the heavier ones felt wonderful...

I was really tempted to order heavier draw weight when i then shot ANOTHER guy's heavier draw weight prototype, but decided since I'm not getting younger, to go with something lighter.  I couldn't be more pleased!

Excited with you waiting to see what it does in YOUR hands!

She's on her way Heneri.....     :goldtooth:

I thought i'd share something with you on this photo you posted below. I've been using a Thunderbird sanding sealer on most all of my bows these days. That is what you are looking at here.

I've used lacquer based sanding sealers before, but this stuff is superb material. It fills all the grain slots very nicely and makes an excellent base for your finish.

Thunderbird Archery products are now distributed by: St Joe Riverbows   Contact Tracy and talk to her about their products. They are sponsors on TG here, and really good folks.    http://stjoeriverbows.com/
