Seems like Mudd had something like that. Might contact him.

Go on youtube and type in (Webb's deer bone traditional archery release). Hopefully this might be something that will keep your friend shooting.

You can actually make a finger loop style one out of paracord or string loop material if I remember correct, there should be a tutorial online somewhere if you do a search.

Yea, have one of Webb Babcocks releases and they are nice if you want a release. Not for everyone but he shoots in our area and is trying to offer a product for folks that want a release for Trad. Great guy to deal with and he shoots it off a loop on the bowstring--and can tell tou how to set it up. Thanks, Roy
Maybe it is time to shoot what I have on the rack

I have a rather expensive release, one with the combo wrist strap and for shooting with a loop on the string.  I was battling with sore fingers for a time. I had to put my thumb behind my ear as an anchor. It was a bit clumsy, timing wise, but it did work on a right hand short recurve accurate enough to kill a deer.  I no longer have a bow to use it on, nor do I need it. What is the hand situation of this person? There are several U tubes that have the thumb pressure release.
