New Year's Eve Hunt Scuttled
« on: December 22, 2014, 09:02:00 PM »
I had planned to close out the season with an all day hunt on 12-31-14, then meet with friends to see in the new year. That is, until I went to the doctor today. Instead of hunting I will be having a heart catheterization done (won't know if a stent is needed till he takes a look). Fortunately, I should only be off my feet for a day or so I can soon begin expanding and improving my food plot for next year. This has been a funky year all around.

Get well. Plenty of hunting time next year. Plus maybe you can Hog hunt to make up your day.
Relax,

You'll live longer!

Take care, Sam...and praying it goes well. A stent saved my wife's life....and the pain is only temporary!  You'll be back at it in a few days.

Hi Sam,
It is a pretty scary thing, but you will get through it! After experiencing what I thought was acid reflux while bow-hunting elk in Colorado with my three sons and a couple of friends in September, It was discovered I had heart disease I was unaware of. Back home I left the hospital after 4 days with 5 stints placed in 4 arteries. I was very, very lucky. I had no heart attack thus no heart damage. The blockages are delt with but I have to take meds and live better for the rest of my life! I have was bowhunting Kentucky whitetails 2 weeks later! This will just be a set back for you! You will come out of it feeling much better! Just follow doctors orders!
Good luck! Prayers headed your way!!
Harry
