I have made my own for years now from burlap bags that I get through a local coffee shop.

The coffee bags tend to be heavier than the bags I used to get at feed supply stores.

I have filled them with a variety of different things that worked but my best so far has been the ones I filled with raw wool.

I think I paid 5 dollars for each shearing and it took about 7 sheep's worth to fill these very large bags which makes the bags cost about $35.

The bags are very durable and will stop even the heaviest of bow's arrows.

I know that over time the outer bag will need replacing but that's an easy process because it simply means stuff the entire target into a new bag and sewing it shut.

I have been doing the same thing to my very old "Eternity" target for over the last 25-30 years.

Arrow removal is very easy.(two fingers)

The only draw back to these type of targets is that you can not shoot broadheads into them.

I fully expect my wool filled bag with last at least as long as my old "Eternity" has.

No the chix wire does not hurt carbon or alum. arrows (steel point)  never tried wood arrows
Also 2 finger arrow removal( no jeans, buttons or zippers in stuffing)

I showed the pic of tv cabinet to my wife and for some reason she said im not shooting inside.  Go figure?

I use four by four nylon soy bean seed crate bags and stuff them with used silage plastic. The nylon is much more durable than commercial archery targets, there are four sides to shoot, they handle all weather and are completely free. My current stuffage is ten years old and still going strong.

I use MK19 foam and duct tape.  Shoot it up and toss it, about four or five pieces taped together is good to stop target points from my 63# and 66# longbows.

Also gallon Milk jugs stuff full of plastic bags work well.

I have used grain bags (raw or sewn into animal shapes), burlap sacks, lately repurposing some products, golf practice bags, flood control bags, punching bags, etc.  I think the key is to find some stuff give it a try and see if it works, sometimes what seems like the most unlikely will turn out the best.

Where do you all get the shrink wrap in the larger size.

Large rolls of wrap can be bought at a U-haul dealer or big box home improvement stores.

My favorite target is a stack of 24"x48" lay-in ceiling tiles in front of a 4'x8'x2' floating dock foam. Call a ceiling contractor and ask to pick up a stack at a job when they are replacing them.

I use the white foam blocks from Tractor Supply we get them with our trailors I duct tape 2 or 3 together  tape some cardboard to the front and back and you have  a great target the foam takes lots of shots as long a you change the cardboard on a regular basis. TSC will usually let you have the blocks if they have any on hand our store does.

Bldt, It's like a Warner brothers cartoon in your yard.  I could get in SO much trouble if I had those.  I just know someone would call the cops on me.  Just like when I made a fanned out turkey and painted it with the same colors my wife painted the bathroom and kitchen with, yellow and pinkish. It was reported that I made a picture of a woman's head and was shooting it. In no time at all I had two cops in my yard, checking to see if they could hit my target with my bows and arrows.
