Cataract surgery

I just got back from the Eye Doc....
My right eye is 20/80 because of a Cataract....
Feb 15th I'll have surgery to remove it and a lense put in....
Hopefuly after the Surgery my right eye will be 20/20....
And hopefuly afterwards I'll be a better Traditional Archer....
Then again some of you will be in better focus, a scary thought....
I'm a happy camper, can't wait.......

Mike, you'll love your new outlook! I had mine done in 2003, both eye's. I happier than a pig in poo. The only problem I encountered was they did such an excellent job matching the lens. I now don't have a dominant eye. Took a while getting use to that.
My prayers will be with you!

Mike, I had both eyes done in October--best thing I've done in awhile. I have very good distance but do need glasses for upclose work if it is being done for any length of time. It is truly amazing. In about a year I'll probably get lasik surgery so they can fine tune me.

One season I had terrible trouble shooting at caribou in Labrador and during the ensuing deer season I missed 13 shots. Misjudging distance, hitting unseen twigs. Went to get my eyes checked and had a cataract. Had it fixed and everything got back to normal...but better.

You still married, Drano?
My best friend Jimmy the Geek had both eyes done a couple of years ago. He was amazed at how white white really was. All the years of slowly deteriorating vision changed his perception without his knowing it. He is as happy as can be with his perfect eyes now.

Dano's gut guts! He is fairly daring too BTW - :D
Repetition but my Ma had both her eyes done (separate times) and she was amazed at the differance for the rest of her life. She also still had to wear glasses for close work - would have been lost without them anyway as she wore them all of her 87 years , or at least all the ones I was around for. Best of luck and results to you too, Mike.

I had one corrected at the tender young age of 42. The other eye is still clear. Dr. was very confused as to why I only had one.
Had the surgery done on Friday morning. Drove nine hours the next day without a problem.
Need glasses for reading now, but probably would have needed that anyway. Made a world of difference in my night vision.

Mike, you will love your new eyes. I wore glasses for almost 50 years and I can not tell you how much I love not needing them anymore. The glasses always got in the way when shooting with the head canted.
I had to go back for a touch up just like the doc said. Much easier to "pick-a-spot" now.
Best of luck, Tom
