Check out the "Crooked Stic" long bow that I won!
« on: January 10, 2015, 10:13:00 AM »
I would like to thank Mike Miller (Crooked Stic) for donating one of his beautiful bows to the Mississippi Traditional Bowhunters Organization. Everyone that tested the bow  loved it and was given a chance to win it. I am very fortunate to have been drawn! I will try to post a few pictures and some info for those who are not yet familiar with Crooked Stic Bows.

This particular model is called the "Hyperstic". This one is 60 inches long and 51@28. The riser is Maple that has been through a stabilizing process. It was impregnated with a brown resin that really creates a beautiful grain pattern and adds weight to the riser. The limbs are action boo under clear glass that was stained light brown.
Mike has been making bows for twelve years now. After trying out this bow and knowing that I was probably not going to win it I started saving my money. I had to have one of his bows! It has the best grip I have ever felt. It is super quiet and extremely fast. If you are looking for a high quality bow at an affordable price I highly recommend a Crooked Stic.

Great bows!  I've got one of his recurves and it is very pleasant to shoot. Quick and quiet.

Congrats I had one of his 62" RD longbows and it shot as well as any bow I ever owned. Would not hesitate to recommend his bows to anyone.
