John Schulz Video
« on: January 12, 2015, 08:15:00 PM »
It's amazing how much you can learn from watching a video from some of these archery legends.  I have watched John's instructional videos several times but always seem to pick up another tip each time.  They really did know what it took to make a good shot.  I was having a little trouble getting my bow arm in the right position and a few minutes watching the video gave me the tip needed to get back on track.

X2 when I feel in a slump I will watch John's video. Usually find the error of my ways.

Funny that you should post this TODAY... as I was re-watching a Jimmy Blackmon video and picked up a couple of pointers that he wasn't even addressing in the video.

I then took my video camera into the backroom and videoed myself shooting out the back slider (20* out).

I quickly resolved two issues I was having and didn't realize it.

I must have watched John's video 1,000s of times and I still pick up something each time I watch it that helps.

I always check out Schulz video because I'm trying to get the "swing draw" down to perfection. I pick up something every time I watch it.

I do notice John seems to snap shoot even though he is at full draw. I then see Howard holding at full draw for a second or two before releasing.

Three Rivers used to sell it.  I managed a second hand DVD from a friend.  From what I understand second hand, there are some issues with John's original investors on the project that stand in the way of making more copies available.  There are a few folks that have also inquired about a re-publication of "Straight Shooting".

The difference in quality between the DVD and what's on YT is huge.  Just sayin'.     :D

looks like I'll have to put a post on Classifieds here to find a copy if no vendors carry them anymore.
