Thanks for the ammunition, I am storing it in my bunker.

Call your sponsor, go to a meeting and share your insanity. And Keep Coming Back. I can relate.

Haha. I thought the wife management things was funny as well.

Do as I do, when you want something new just tell her that she gets to spend money on things all the time. Like clothes, food, vacations, and you just want a chance to spend some of your money too.

Tell her that you would rather have both of you just eat Ramen noodles for the month, stay home, and wear your old ratty clothes for the next few years.

Suddenly the new bow purchase will seem like a good idea. Hehe      :D

You guys just don't have enough bows. When you have 30 or 40 hanging on the bow racks, the wife can't tell a new one from an old one or even tell there is a new one.
I actually have learned to control my bow buying, mainly cause I need the money for a moose hunt next fall!!!

Daniel,

Once it's on the rack, there's no problem.  Getting it to the rack can be problematic. That long tube is a dead give away!

1. when the postman shows up in the driveway, it's hard to explain away.
2. even if I go pick it up, I still have to carry the bow and/or the tube into the house.
3. when I am playing with my new toy, I always get the question, "I don't remember that bow.  Is it a new one?"

I am lucky, though, because my wife is into horses.  She accepts that I won't harass her about horses if se doesn't nag me about bows and hunting.
