Yet another tuning question

I know there are many threads on tuning here, but I couldn't find an answer to my question. Back in the days, I shot air rifles and stuff like that, and used a very simple way of "tuning" the sights. Make the gun stationary, loosely aimed at a white piece of paper, and shoot. Then adjust the sights after the hole. A couple of test shots, and finished.
So I thought if a bow could be made stationary, and using a static release, wouldn't that make tuning a lot easier? You would be sure that draw, form and release where exactly the same every time. At least for those of us who aren't too consistent in form and release.
Tuning can both be fun, and a pain in the ****. Especially if you cannot be sure if it is the bow, the arrow or your self that makes the arrows fly all over the place.

Tuning can be a pain. My problem is me. My setup is fine. My release is not always fine...but has gotten tremendously better.

In a word no.  You the archer are a dynamic part of the tuning process.  Everyone holds and releases differently and that difference contributes to the tuning process.

I suppose you could find the "perfect" tune for that bow but as soon as a person trys to shoot it it would inevitably be off. To your rifle analogy you sight it in but another person shoots it and it is off for them, why because they hold it different or have very bad trigger pull. Fun idea though be a good way to see how bad or good your release is.
