Is this bow savable?

Hi my names Matt and I've actually been a member since 2004, but this is my first post. The reason for this post is an old bow my father gave me a couple of years ago.  It's an old American Archery longbow and is 45 @ 28 and is 68" long. It has numerous stress cracks and a broken limb tip. I'm wondering if it is fixable and if it is....is it safe to shoot?

rough shape but I believe a couple of bowyers out there could fix it for ya!!

The limb tip just appears to have lost its overlays, which shouldn't be too hard to redo.

The cracks that are running across the limbs may be just in the finish coats, but may run through the glass laminations, themselves.

I am sure that one of the guys who has a lot more experience than myself can shed better light on whether this bow is salvagable.

Ok I have to put my 2 cents worth in. It looks like to me the tip shouldbe an easy fix. Just sand/trim of the old overlay and glue a new one on.
The cracks however would worry me. If you look at the picks it looks like they run off the sides and into the wood. Now like stated before this may be just the finish cracking. I hope so but it has me wondering without seeing it up close it is hard to tell. You could try sanding it down to see if it just is the finish, and if it is in the wood you could refinish it and hang it up.

Anather think I notice is the bow seems to bee a wood bow backed with fiberglass (none on the belly) I have heard this isn't the greates way to make a bow because of the compression of the belly wood (or something like that)

If it were me I'd probably clean it up, maybe replace the tip and hang it up. Comming from my father I wouldn't want to hurt it unless I was absolutly sure I could fix it. JMO
