Cool thread! I was traveling to Ohio to bow hunt last fall and saw a Sylvan trailer! Looked pretty neat, just another option. I'm presently really considered what 4 dogs recommended. But at the same I'm REALLY curious to see what Zipper has in the works! Reread Zippers post "There will be NO tent material in this camper"! I'm mostly interested in the last two options! Why? Because I always have to laugh at the pictures of camping tents in adds! Heck in the weather they show most tents in I'd prefer to sleep outside. LOL When it gets nasty outside and it always seems to happen on my camping trips, I don't like folding down wet nylon, canvas etc on top of all my mattresses camping gear to head home or waiting till the wind blown rain or snow dies down to cook dinner. Just my thoughts.
MY ideal set up right now in my mind would be enclosed cargo trailer converted to a camper built by me to my specs. Basically just sleeping quarters with storage. BUT WITH a sil nylon floorless enclosure addition on the rear WITH A WOOD BURNER! Some place to get totally out of the wind and weather to dry clothes, cook, but not intended to burn all night! For me that would be the perfect compact camper. Just think you come in from a long days hunt covered in snow or wet from rain wearing your boots into floorless enclosure. Fire up the wood burner. Dry clothes out while your cooking dinner the whole time heating up your "bunk house" (enclosed trailer)! Actually I do this now with my current tent setup (no trailer) but that's another story. But I'm really curious to see what Zipper has in the works!
